Mats Theselius Järn / Mocca Lounge Chair

The Mats Theselius Aluminium Armchair is a beautiful example of innovative Swedish design, seamlessly combining sculptural form with functional comfort. Crafted in the 1990s by Källemo AB, this lounge chair features a rounded aluminum frame supported by four cast-aluminum legs, creating a bold yet refined silhouette. A gently curved stained beech element crowns the armrests, offering a subtle warmth that contrasts beautifully with the cool metallic surface. The seat and backrest have been reupholstered in high quality calf leather, providing a warm, inviting experience.

This chair exemplifies Theselius’ signature approach to material experimentation, balancing industrial strength with organic elegance. Its sculptural presence, meticulous craftsmanship, and thoughtful use of contrasting materials make it a timeless collectible piece that embodies both artistry and everyday functionality.
